What is the difference between quartz sand and silica sand?
Silica sand is a bulk industrial material. High-purity quartz sand is processed from selected vein quartz to 99.99% SiO2 or better, with tight limits on aluminium, iron, alkali metals and fluid inclusions, for crucibles, fused silica and semiconductor use.
