About Mohammed Saif Zaveri →Solar Wafers: FAQs
Do you manufacture wafers in India?
The JRST-led silicon ingot unit in Maharashtra completed its first pilot batch, and JRST sets up ingot-wafer plants for clients. Merchant wafer supply runs alongside while that capacity scales.
Which formats?
M10 (182 mm), G12 (210 mm) and G12R rectangular wafers, n-type and p-type.
Why does ALMM List-III matter?
From 1 June 2028, ALMM List-III is expected to require domestically made wafers for qualifying modules, which is why cell and module makers are planning wafer supply now.
